In subsequent discussion panels led by editor Beata Jakoniuk-Wojcieszak (Author and producer of the cyclical program “Here Women” TVP Info), we had the opportunity to get to know and draw from the experiences of women achieving success in life.

tl_files/o Rogowiec/2013mar08-Rogowiec-Premier-Byc Kobieta-02.jpgIn the first panel – Man is not a lonely island – “Be true to yourself and have a goal in life…” presented us with a woman’s perspective on the issues of independence and responsibility in the context of equal opportunities, balancing roles and commitment to work, ladies who are successful in responsible positions in the Government: – Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy; – Urszula PasÅ‚awska, Undersecretary of State in the Treasury Ministry; – CzesÅ‚awa Ostrowska, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
They answered the questions: How do they overcome the stereotype – Success has a masculine face, work (hard, beyond one’s strength) a feminine one? Women are often afraid that by getting promoted they will be perceived as too masculine, aggressive, unable to cooperate – how to dismantle this myth? Rising above one’s surroundings is dangerous. When we do this, we encounter accusations of masculine behavior or being a shrew.
In the second panel – “I love what I do, I do what I love!” – we met with women who dared to break prevailing stereotypes, pursuing their professional and creative ambitions in “strongly” patriarchal regions.
Businesses built in their hometowns, focused on the region and its development. Thoroughly educated after short work experiences in administration – “went on their own”. About passion, determination, adversity, and the strength of women allowing them to overcome. About working for local government and in local government.
– MaÅ‚gorzata ChechliÅ„ska – President and co-owner of the Trip Group, utilizes her business experience within the support network for entrepreneurial women – Vital Voices Global Partnership.
– Barbara Chwesiuk – President of the “Bialcon” company from BiaÅ‚a Podlaska. She has been running the clothing company for 20 years. Over 50 company stores, exports to Sweden. Produces primarily from Polish raw materials and sews exclusively in Poland.
– Jolanta PÄ™gowska, PRYM Foundation for the Development of Municipalities
– Gabriela Szymkowiak, entrepreneur, social cooperative “Rybka”

In the last part of the official meeting, Prime Minister Janusz PiechociÅ„ski, in a conversation with Katarzyna Rogowiec (the honorary guest of the Conference), discussed various issues. The guiding thought of the conversation was the strength and determination that allows to overcome all barriers, including physical ones. The conversation touched upon the sphere of dreams, which come true thanks to hard work. There was talk about discipline, to listen to the voice of the heart, and the courage to follow it. The topic of rural safety was also present in the conversation (the K. Rogowiec Avanti Foundation is the ambassador of the Polish Agricultural Publishing House, the publisher of the Weekly Agricultural Advisor).

During an interview conducted by the Prime Minister with Katarzyna Rogowiec, praise for the local government of the MaÅ‚opolska Province and the conditions that MaÅ‚opolska creates for both sporting achievements and the development of the Avanti Foundation were expressed by her. The MaÅ‚opolska Province is a partner of the “MaÅ‚opolska on the road with Katarzyna Rogowiec” initiative.
